Brief
Inspired Paint and Design is a new painting service in the Portland Metro area. The owner, Seth Dershewitz, approached me with a desire to have a logoand brand materials that expressed what he does in the market but with a more refined logo that looked more contemporary than his competitors.
RESEARCH
This is an example of an early benchmark, the primary inspiration for the logo.
I was also inspired by the lines and circles weaving around a circuit board.
The first thing we did was asses the competition in the marketplace and compile some of the other options for referrals. We decided that while homeowners were going to be the bread and butter of the business, we wanted to appeal to the interior design and real estate market as well. This led to the more colorful, friendly vibes and monoline logo with a more feminine quality.
Development
Mid-stage logo ideas.
The final brand package included a logo and some graphic assets that can be used separately. Mockup ideas were included for staff shirts, vans and business cards that resemble paint swatches featuring the brand colors. A brand guiltiness document was also included, listing all of the color codes and explaining font useage and logo details.
Final
These postcards function as both promotional material and computer drop off cards.
A brandbook was provided to the client to give them clear font, color and gradient choices along with proper logo uses.
